They claim to be Microsoft support. I have news for you Microsoft technical support will never contact as such. They say your version of windows is out of date and they want you to "renew" it. When I call to be place on the do not call list they hang up on me. When I ask for a manager they hang up on me. When I mention the bbb they swiftly hang up on me. So I just keep calling them about 4 times a day. Maybe they will get the message.

They left a message, very garbled, but something about license expiring and I had to call that number back. Glad I don't answer unknown numbers and have machine to record them.

Microsoft License scam. Why aren't any of the government agencies doing anything about this? I'm going to file an FTC complaint. Anyone else care to join me so we can make this a class action and collect from these crooks?

Original call came in from 855-766-6911. I played along to see how much it would cost and it was $200 per computer. Told them I would have to call back later. Few minutes later, got a call from 412-504-7008 from a "James Allen." He wanted to know why I hung up and told me he could help me fix my problem. Hung up. My sons each called one of the numbers and when both parties answered asking who each was, they knew one another - such a sad scam - hopefully people don't fall for their nonsense!

Sounded like a foreign boiler room operation. Agent had heavy accent (Indian?). Used Microsoft name (in vain?). Said my operating system license key was going to expire. In my 30 years of dealing with personal computers and their various software I've never heard of an operating system license expiring. Also, I'm on the federal DO NOT CALL registry so they obviously violated that....

VERY Annoying. Keep getting calls from this number but when I say hello - nobody answers. It is apparently a telemarketing outfit that "SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS" or at least be "INVESTIGATED BY THE FCC.
